Most people who fly into Koh Samui spend their first day on Chaweng Beach, their second on a longtail boat to Ang Thong National Park (which is genuinely worth it, but takes 9 hours), and never discover the half-day option that runs every morning and afternoon from the quiet east coast.
The 2.5-hour Koh Samui jet ski tour from Maenam to Hidden Lagoon and back is the trip a lot of Phuket regulars come to Samui specifically to do. It's not in most guidebooks. It sells out a day in advance in high season.
The route — three stops, no rush
The tour leaves twice a day — 10 AM and 2 PM — from a small concession on the north coast. Hotel pickup is included from Maenam, Bophut, Chongmon, Chaweng and Lamai. Outside those areas, transfer is a Grab ride.
- Pig Island (Koh Madsum) — 25 minutes. Swim, feed the resident pigs (snacks are provided by the on-island concession, you don't bring your own), beach photos. The pigs are descendants of a small herd left here years ago and they're famously gentle.
- Virgin Islands (Koh Tan) — 20 minutes. A snorkel break over a small reef. Mask and snorkel are provided.
- Hidden Lagoon — 15 minutes. A small, sheltered bay on the south side of Koh Tan with calm, shallow water — perfect for a beach lie-down.
The remaining 1.25 hours is the ride between stops, parallel to Samui's east coast. Calm water in the morning, slightly choppier after lunch but still well within first-timer comfort.

Samui's east coast is quieter, calmer, and shorter than anything we run in Phuket. The two coasts attract different people. We don't pretend either is a substitute for the other.
Who this trip is for
It's for the couple who flew in with three days, want a half-day on the water that doesn't take the whole day, and want to come home in time for sunset cocktails at Bophut.
It's for the family with kids 8-and-up who want pigs and pictures more than they want adrenaline.
It's not for the rider who wants the 9-Point Grand Tour experience. That tour doesn't exist on Samui — the geography doesn't support it. If you want the all-day epic, fly to Phuket.
Booking and timing
Single jet ski option — Sea-Doo 1,630cc, ฿6,900 with ฿3,450 deposit. Two riders per ski, 170 kg combined. Daily sessions 10 AM and 2 PM. We don't operate Saturdays — the office is closed.
If you're in Samui for fewer than 3 days, book it the moment your flight lands. The 10 AM Sunday and 2 PM Sunday slots are usually full a day ahead, even out of high season.
